Ruth Lujan is a Mexican influencer known for her videos featuring corsets that make her waist look extremely slim. She became a practitioner of tight-laced corseting and quickly gained a large following on social media.

When Ruth was 14 years old, she was diagnosed with a genetic condition called Hyperlaxity Syndrome, which weakens the joints and muscles, causing pain, fatigue, and poor balance. To help protect and support her body, she had to wear a medical corset. This led her to discover Tightlacing — the practice of extreme corseting to dramatically reduce the waistline — and eventually develop a passion for it.

Ruth's waist is naturally narrow, measuring only 15 inches (40 cm), but when her corset is fully laced, it shrinks down to a tiny 12 inches (30 cm).

Since Tightlacing causes the internal organs to shift, she undergoes regular medical examinations to ensure that her daily practice doesn’t harm her health.

Ruth is also a professional freediving apneist and performs mermaid acts as well as underwater cosplays. Her mermaid costumes are unique, often blending elements of horror to create a look that is both enchanting and eerie.
