Ramya NSK was born and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She did her schooling at Went to AMM Matriculation Hr. Sec. School and she did her graduation in Women’s Christian College, Chennai. Before she enter’s into the music industry she worked as a Music Manager at Radio City. She started her music career as a playback singer and she grew herself as Recording Artiste and stage performer. For her singing talent, she grabbed more awards like Filmfare Awards 2013 for Best Playback Singer (Female) For the song Sattu Munbu from the movie Needhaane En Ponvasantham, Vijay Awards 2013 for Best Playback Singer (Female) for the song Sattu Munbu from the movie Needhaane En Ponvasantham and Times Awards 2013 for Best Playback Singer (Female) for the song Sattu Munbu from the Gautham Menon‘s Needhaane En Ponvasantham. In 2018, Ramya appeared on the Tamil reality television show, Bigg Boss, hosted by Kamal Haasan. She stated that she was keen to experience the opportunity to understand what a "luxurious jail" may be like. She was evicted early in the process. In 2017, Ramya got married to Arjun, but the mariage did not last and they divorced the same year.In September 2019, Ramya married serial actor Sathya, and she gave birth to a child in July 2020
