As I walked into the Hotel AKA Back Bay, Boston, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. I had heard great things about this hotel, and I was looking forward to a comfortable and relaxing stay. But, oh boy, was I in for a rude awakening.
First of all, let me tell you, the valet parking sign was in the wrong place. I mean, who puts a valet parking sign on the corner of Newbury and Clarendon Street? It's just common sense, folks. You can't just put a sign wherever you feel like it. That's not how you help your guests, that's how you confuse them.
And then, when I finally made it to the room, I was greeted with a carpet that had food particles all over it. I mean, who doesn't vacuum their carpets? It's not like it's a hard task. And to top it off, there was an empty water bottle just chillin' in the room. Like, what kind of housekeeping is that? Don't they know that cleanliness is key?
But, you know, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it was just a one-time mistake. Maybe they were having a bad day. So, I decided to call the front desk to request something special for my girlfriend's birthday. And let me tell you, the condescending tone of the assistant manager, Joseph, was something else. He laughed at my request, like it was the most ridiculous thing he had ever heard. I mean, come on, dude. A little bit of kindness and understanding wouldn't kill you, would it?
And then, to make matters worse, they messed up my room service order. I asked for a FIJI water bottle and a kettle, and what did I get? Nothing. Zilch. Zero. It's not like it's a hard task, folks. Just bring me what I asked for. Is that too much to ask?
