Today's video is an old one I have been sitting on for a while. Given everything that happened in D.C. after the event, I decided against posting this at the time. The skating community lost so many talented skaters, coaches, and wonderful family members. I had the pleasure of getting to know some of them personally through social media. Their kindness will forever hold a place in my heart💕 I still wanted to share my experience at Nationals with all of you. So I feel that it is important to acknowledge the events that took place on January 29th, and leave links for any resources as well as places to donate down below.

I have always watched U.S. Nationals on TV but never had the chance to go in person until this year. An opportunity for me to attend with an all weekend pass came my way and I decided to go! We drove 10 hours from Minneapolis to Wichita. To start off the weekend we attended a little happy hour welcome party hosted by U.S. Figure Skating. Great snacks, food, and drinks while we watched the Pairs and Women Short Program. Getting a chance to see these programs in person was amazing! On Day 2 we watched Ice Dance and the Women's Freeskate. After the women's event we decided to stay for the awards. We were lucky enough to meet Sarah and Amber after the ceremony. Both of them are genuinely so nice! I'm not sure why my face looks like in my photo with Sarah😂. I think I was just in shock that I was actually meeting a skater I've looked up to for inspiration all season. Meeting both of them was probably the highlight of my weekend. Day 3 was Men's Short Program, Ice Dance, and Pairs Freeskate. It is truly amazing to watch these events live in person. Watching the elements on TV is completely different than actually being in the rink. We did have to drive back on day 4 so we were only able to stay for Men's practice ice. My biggest regret of the entire weekend was not attending more practice ice events (and the gala). If I am able to go again next year I would 100% take full advantage of all of the events I have access to. The practice ice was so cool because you could sit right at the boards.
