Definitely one of the toughest fights Fromsoft has ever done, although I probably fought him much earlier than intended. Took me about 8 tries; Fire and Lightning Resistance along with a hefty stamina bar absolutely carried the fight. I was taking much more damage without them.

If you're having trouble, definitely summon Igor! He helps take a lot of aggro off of you and gives you some time to heal. He's shockingly tanky; he survived every single fight I had with Bayle.
