Farah Ione Wallett is a 26 years old designer who grew up on a farm just outside of Mbombela (Nelspruit) in Mpumalanga. She finished her studies in Mbombela in 2013 at Xela Design College, acquiring a Diploma in Womanswear through City and Guilds. She has since been working on her label – iamione. Iamione (pronounced I am my own) is a new concept that has its roots in South African culture. “The vision is that we create a brand that creates itself. As we know fashion is in the now and I believe that this brand will develop and grow as it is realised. The concept for the brands first signature collection stems from the multicultural heritage of our youth. We are a mixed race and I intend to embrace and flaunt all our beautiful colours within the collection- Kaleidoscope culture.”
