Mindset and the nature of our thoughts will determine the path we take in life. An integral component of this is our self-talk which can either hold us back or propel us forward. It’s that internal voice which has such a powerful influence on the choices and decisions we make, ultimately shaping our self-image. If we want to believe something different about ourselves, to have greater self-confidence, can we reinvent ourselves for success? Because life will never be better than our self-image allows it to be, so the change has to start with us. Kirsty’s career to date spans many sectors – Theatre, Public Relations, Third Sector, Coaching and Training; the common thread being the art of communication. Kirsty is a people person – it’s her passion and she’s adept at understanding the psychology of her audience and comprehending the best way to connect with them.

Continuing this theme, Kirsty co-runs a mindset management business with her Dad and sister. Growing up with the principles of the company’s signature Winning Edge programme, Kirsty’s role as blogger, trainer and coach helps people understand how the nature of their thinking has an impact on their results and success. Kirsty also mentors entrepreneurs, as well as working in schools and colleges to help young people learn the importance of understanding their mindset to realise their full potential.

Love, fun and passion are at the heart of all Kirsty believes in and therefore, experiences and adventures with her husband and children are key to her work/life balance.

As well as delivering a powerful multi-generational TEDx Talk with her daughter and Dad on the importance of feeling worthy of happiness, Kirsty’s 15 minutes of fame began some time ago during her heady PR days. She was successfully caught on camera by Channel 4’s Big Breakfast - dressed as a Mr Kipling Strawberry Sundae Tart, waiting in the queue for Wimbledon tickets. What? You didn’t see her? You missed a treat. Quite literally… This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
