Tiniyak ng Department of Agriculture na ligtas pang kainin ang mga isda at iba pang lamang-dagat mula sa Kalakhang Maynila, Cavite, at Bulacan.

Gayunman, pinaiiwasan muna ang seafoods na hinuli mula sa mga lugar na nakitaan na ng oil slick, partikular na ang malapit sa ‘ground zero’, dahil sa masamang epekto nito sa kalusugan.
