They may not recognize the importance of leadership or understand what it entails. This stage is marked by ignorance or denial of one's limitations as a leader.

Conscious Incompetence: The next stage involves becoming aware of one's deficiencies in leadership. Individuals in this stage recognize that they lack certain leadership skills or knowledge and acknowledge the need for improvement. They may feel inadequate or overwhelmed by the challenges of leadership but are motivated to learn and grow.

Conscious Competence: As individuals progress up the ladder, they begin to develop and demonstrate competence in leadership through conscious effort and practice.
