North Bay Trumpet Studio lead pipe warm up routine 1

This brief instructional video is intended primarily for students of North Bay Trumpet Studio.

Obviously, this material is not intended to be a comprehensive warm up or practice routine nor is this intended to be a complete explanation or demonstration of the possible applications of the lead pipe. It is simply a possible sequence to use in one's daily practice.

Many players utilize the lead pipe as a key component in their practice. Some of these players include the many outstanding students of Mr. William Adam like: Charley Davis, Larry Hall, Jerry Hey, Bobby Burns, Karl Sivers, Bob Baca, John Harbaugh, Bob Slack, Greg Wing, Rick Winslow, et al.

A new generation of players like Stomvi Artist Javier Gonzales (Studio player in LA, etc.), Greg Spence (Studio player in Australia, etc.), and Chase Sanbourn (Jazz Artist and teacher in Canada) have broadened the use of the lead pipe by coming up with new and interesting ways of utilizing it in their practice. Please check out the videos, materials, recordings, and interviews with these great players. Consider purchasing their books and recordings or seek them out for a private lesson. You might use that material as a launch point for coming up with your own exercises on the lead pipe. Then, incorporate that material into your own daily practice.
