Kiwigrip Is an Excellent choico over Awlgrip for a nonskid deck.

How to apply KiwiGrip in the areas the roller will not get. There are almost always areas that you canot get the roller into to roll Kiwigrip on or get the grip texture. In this video I show you how to get the texture in them areas. When finished with a can and you have kiwigrip left it is very important to put plastic wrap INSIDE directly ontop of the unused portion so that there is no air circulation to dry it out. just press it lightly on top to seal it in. then place the top of the can on.

How to make the custom brush or (blotter):

1. get the sizes of disposable brushes you need
2. get some silicone, preferably fast dry gasket maker red
3. get an extra KiwiGrip texture roller when you get the KiwiGrip
4. take the textured sponge of the roller.
5. cut about half of the bristles of the brushes so they are still flexible but stiffer
6. now cut a rectangle large enough to wrap the bristles on the brush out of the sponge
7. generously coats the bristles of the brush with sylicone
8. wrap the spnge texture over the bristles and sylicone
9. place the brush on a flat surface and then put a weight (not to heavy just enough to hold it firmly) on top of the sponge..
10. the sylicone should NOT be oozing through. it should only be attaching to the inside of the texture.
11. now just let it sit for a night and your ready to go the next day.

about KiwiGrip Nonskid Application. How to get the Details with KiwiGrip is in this video    • It's In The Details, How to Get KiwiG...   This is really the best Deck Non-skid i have found. It is INCREDIBLY easy to use and apply to your deck. Best of all it's awesomely easily cleaned up and does not smell. I don't get anything from kiwigrip to say good things. I've used many products and I really love KiwiGrip.

KiwiGrip VS Awlgrip = A Great alternative to Awlgrip without all the mess and fuss. I Prefer it!

The only downside I have issue with is that it's hard to clean without a pressure washer. BUT it is so easy to just clean it then do a quick coat of KiwiGrip with the special roller carefully avoiding your water lines and Voila! you can show of that beautiful deck again in just a couple hours.

Some extra notes:

When finished with a can and you have kiwigrip Nonskid left it is very important to put plastic wrap INSIDE directly on top of the unused portion so that there is no air circulation to dry it out. just press it lightly on top to seal it in. then place the top of the can on.

Use the trough on a smooth surface or a deck that dos'n't have a really rough surface. also the smoother your surface the better the result.

I used just a regular roller method because the trough didn't work well with the nonskid already there.

I was able to roll over the kiwigrip a few times because it was overcast so my kiwigrip wasn't curing very fast.

keep a wet / damp rag with you as you work and wipe down roller flak as you go. if you cant the go back later with plastic scraper to remove it or a plastic razor blade.
