IN THIS UNSPONSORED VIDEO I talk you through the model history of the 3rd generation of Golf GTI, and realise it's one of the rarest if not THE rarest GTI in the UK due to many factors but mainly because it never had the cult appeal of the Mk1 and Mk2. Find out why in this video.

Mk3 and me Trivia;
I supplied the Mk3 GTI used for the filming of the Mk5 GTI review for Top Gear in 2004 (filmed Oct, broadcast December)
Only car to hospitalise me while working on it - R reg Mk3 GTI Colour Concept
Last fault crash (1999) was that black Mk3 (minor shunt on a roundabout)
Last crash on a track day - Black Vento VR6 (MK3 based) - nearly ended up in the lake at Mallory Park
When I came to see my premises in 2002, car parked in it was a Vento VR6 racing car
I ran a Mk3 Anniversary register in 2000 ish and organised a display at VW North West Tatton Park
Sold my Mk2 to get a Mk3 to impress my then girlfriend, must have worked as 22 years later we are still together!
