Hank Fellows, "America's Songwriter," has received national recognition for the three patriotic songs that he wrote shortly after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001: "The Spirit of America," "Halfway to Heaven," and "One Heart, One Voice." These songs may be listened to on Hank's website "http://www.AmericasSongwriter.com", and on his YouTube channel, Hank Fellows USA. Long before 9/11/2001, however, Hank's first recognition as a songwriter came from the performances of his three musical revues "An Open Stage," "Crosstown Rhythms," and "Late City Express" in New York City venues and cabarets between 1979 and 1984.

This video production of Hank's 16-song musical revue "An Open Stage" (approximately 60 minutes long) combines the studio recordings of this musical revue as performed by the five-person cast at the Library of Lincoln Center in Manhattan, New York City in 1979, with photographs of the five-person cast that performed this show at the West Bank Café in Manhattan, NYC in 1980. "An Open Stage" was directed by Howard Rossen. The five cast members at the Library of Lincoln Center show were Scott Campbell, Christopher Councill, Nazig Edwards, Valerie Piacenti, and Ruth Redland. The five cast members at the West Bank Café show were Nazig Edwards, Bill Johnson, Valerie Piacenti, Ruth Redland, and Mark Reina. The musical director, pianist, and arranger of the songs for "An Open Stage" was Zalmen Mlotek.

Hank Fellows received an ASCAP Popular Music Award in August, 1980 for “An Open Stage”, which is also shown in this Video.
