Okay so first of all thank you so much to everyone who worked on this with me on such short notice. RAIT – for allowing me to use their beautiful artwork and partnering with me, Aruvn for working around me being an idiot and providing this beautiful mix for me in such a short amount of time, SynK – for slaving away until 3 in the morning on the animation and Volodymyr (gurugavr1986) for agreeing to arrange such an intense song and getting it done so quickly.

I struggle with reaching out to others for stuff like this, but when I muster up the courage to collaborating is always so much fun. This is the first upload in a long time I’m really, really excited about. They’re all so talented, I’m blown away and honored to work with them!

What to say about this song … Well, first and foremost I hate Re:Zero. Okay, not really, but week after week of heart-crushing misery did get exhausting so I put it on hold and caught up on the novels instead. Watching it turn into ‘Rem-Zero’ (or rather the fanbase turn into ‘Rem-Zero’ if that makes sense?) was exhausting too but I’d write out even more of an essay if I got into that so I won’t.

At first while I could appreciate it, the song didn’t really ‘vibe’ with me and I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a cover. It was so chaotic it took me a few listens to truly fall in love but once I did I couldn’t get it out of my head. It became worse after listening to dj-Jo’s incredible remix, which is now officially one of my favorite works by him ever. It’s sooo good! So, like I do with most songs that get stuck in my head, I DID THE SINGING THING. There were a few complicated parts but I tried and it was fun, so I'm happy. I tried to do a chorus part for the beginning but it just sounded messy layered on top of the midi-choir so lol.

Edit: Aware now that the official lyric is 'scar' and not door, but at the time I wrote the lyrics and recorded everyone thought it was 'door,' so... Oops. Thanks for letting me know!
