Camps Bay home server room installation. Overview of this professional server room installation

This is a detailed video overview of the design and installation of this server room in Camps Bay, Cape Town.
We were tasked with the complete overhaul of this server room by our client who was dissatisfied with the original company that carried out the work in his house. After approximately 3.5 years of having issues with various aspects of his house, including the Control4 system, Network, WiFi and CCTV cameras, we got stuck in for a complete server room overhaul.

As with all of our installations we have worked with our traditional colour co-ordination. This has enabled us to maintain this server room and home installation far more efficiently since we took over this project.

Key highlights to this server room include:
• New UniFi Pro network switches to power everything within this house.
• Separating out the network, Audio and Video racks so that everything is laid out in an easy to understand manner.
• Raising the equipment racks off the ground for ease of servicing and running cables from the main network rack to the additional floor standing equipment racks.

This was a time consuming project, totally just over 300 hours on-site to completely strip down the old equipment rack and migrate everything into the 3 newly installed equipment racks, including labelling and testing all cables to ensure that they are terminated correctly and work correctly.
