The National Neighbourhood brings people together from across the city, through ongoing projects with our cultural partners and artists - exploring all that the city has to offer, and keeping us connected through culture and conversation.

With the Chester Beatty, we introduced the group to the history of the museum and library and looked at some of the many highlights in their collection.

The National Neighbourhood is a year-round programme that creates ways for people to see and make culture in their place with people they know. These new experiences, explorations and connections are the foundation for people to build creativity into their everyday lives.

The National Neighbourhood is made by Dublin City Council Culture Company in partnership with Dublin City Council (Dublin City Libraries, local area offices, Dublin City Arts Office, Hugh Lane Gallery) and National Cultural Institutions the Abbey Theatre, Chester Beatty, IMMA - Irish Museum of Modern Art, National Archives of Ireland, National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ireland, National Gallery of Ireland, National Library of Ireland, National Museum of Ireland.

Dublin City Council Culture Company runs cultural initiatives and buildings across the city with, and for, the people of Dublin.

We collaborate with people, communities, cultural organisations, businesses, and Dublin City Council to embed cultural experiences and increase cultural participation throughout Dublin.

Dublin City Council Culture Company was incorporated in March 2018. Our vision is for a Dublin where culture connects everyone and everything. Our mission is to connect people through culture and conversation to ignite imaginations and experiences.
