Original Alien Suite - Part 2

This is the second part of my Alien suite. This is more action based with influences from 'Aliens'. I love James Horner's action music for 'Aliens', so I recorded similar military percussion rhythms using snare drum, bass drum and roto toms. It's a nice nod to one of my favourite film scores, and It gave me a lot of practice arranging percussion.
At the end we have a peaceful resolution where we hear the return of my original Alien theme in full, along with Jerry Goldsmith's theme from 'Alien'. This is kind of an epilogue in a way, and I wanted my theme to become very romantic and emotional like the Howard Hanson 'Symphony Number 2 - Romantic' which was heard at the end of the original film. I really got to spend time with the strings on this one.
