Ore Loads on the Bessemer

Описание к видео Ore Loads on the Bessemer

Throwing it back to one of my favorite trips to the Keystone State, we see in this compilation the only two times I have ever seen loaded iron ore trains! Canadian National U702, the unit ore train that runs along the Bessemer
& Lake Erie mainline, takes the ore from the docks in Conneaut, OH and hands it off to the Union Railroad in North Bessemer, PA to be used for the blast furnaces for the US Steel mills along the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh! With the same four CN EMD SD70M-2s providing head-end and distributed power, we see as I catch the unit train in two locations around Butler over two days, first cruising past the CN/B&LE Calvin Yard, and again ducking under the Benjamin Franklin Highway, on two beautiful August mornings in 2021!
