EXA Arcadia Review - Is It Worth The Money? At last I have been able to get my hands on the extremely expensive Neo-Geo style arcade board the EXA Arcadia - which in total costs around $5,000 when paired with a game. (The games are very expensive as well). Thank you again to the patron who let borrow his board for this review. In today's video I go over my thoughts how the EXA hardware is designed, especially its choice to use Warranty Void if Seal Broken stickers as well as its general locked down nature. I also discuss the process of setting the EXA up and go over what parts the machine requires like the JVS I/O board and digital to analog converter if connecting to crt. I give my thoughts on the system's hardware power and game selection, I measure the input lag of two games, Dodonpachi SaiDaiOuJou (True Death Label), Akai Katana (Crimson Katana), and also wonder if having these games get a new arcade release is worth MAME receiving a cease and desist from EXA to drop them from emulation. I also share my thoughts and concerns on the system's lack of online updates/leaderboards, as well as the longevity of the hardware and cartridges.
