I received a set of the 3W Auto-Life floor mats for my Bronco for a review. I took a look at the mats and also did a quick compare to Fords all weather mats and the TUX all weather mats for the Bronco.

I know there are many different brands of varying materials and designs so this is my opinion on the 3 sets that I have on hand to look at.

Also, I don't do this for a living so there is no glorious cinematic B.S. making things look like a high tech infomercial of over-landing grandeur. This is my opinion on a product I was asked to take a look at.

Of the 3 sets I look at the Tux mats offer the best coverage and feel more luxurious because of the design and materials used. They are a woven material with an anti-slip feel to the underside. They are easy to clean, stay put in the foot well and offer high sides for really good coverage and they cover the door sills, which the other two don't. They are the most expensive of the three sets by quite a bit. I have had TUX mats in my Mazda CX5 for years and they have been fantastic.

The Ford mats are my least favorite of the 3, they would work as intended but they seem to be a "good enough" offering from Ford. They offer the least coverage of the 3 mats. Only half the height of the dead pedal is covered, they are the shallowest of the three in their design. The set I have has definitely seen some miles and have held up well, if they were all I had access to I would probably be fine with them. Easily cleaned, but just not as well designed as the others.

The 3W mats sit in the middle of the 3 sets, but not equally so. They are just beneath the Tux mats but well above the Ford mats in my opinion. They are tough and pliable and they sit flat in the foot wells and offer a good deal of coverage. They fit tight against the contours of the interior well and I have had them a month or so and they look like new still.

The only concerns I had with the 3W mats was the depth of the embossed graphics and the lack of a non slip surface on the back side, those concerns put them a bit under the Tux mats in ranking the three brands of mats I have. To be fair, my Bronco has the rubberized washout flooring and not carpet so the 3W mats may no be intended for my configuration so I can't give a big ding for that. If your someone who doesn't want to have to remove their mats every time for a quick sweep out then this may be a valid concern for having the deep embossed graphics. I park on a gravel driveway surrounded by sun baked crispy grass. Every time I get in the Bronco I track pebbles and dead grass into the truck. I tried brushing out the debris but it was difficult as it was trapped in the deep indentations in the mats. If I took them out and flipped them over the stuff fell out but it was dry, if it was the rainy season then it would be far harder to get clean. If they had dried mud or whatever then quick spray down with a hose gets them looking new in seconds but you have to take them out to get them sparkling clean again.

If spotless floor mats is no concern or you don't mind a bit of extra work then that it is all a non-issue.

The 3W mats look fantastic in the Bronco, best of all 3 as far as an off-road themed accessory. I have had a few folks comment right away how cool they looked in the truck. They do look great and the graphics designs are well done.

I also have the rear cargo mat and the rear seat-back covers. Both work really well. The seat-back covers are fantastic. I have had another brand of seat-back covers and I like the 3W covers a lot more. They cup over the edges of the seats really nicely and offer great coverage. These would be my first choice in seat-back covers hands down. I wouldn't even need to research other brands, these are the ones for me.

Both the rear cargo mat and the seat-back covers have embossed tie-down locations on them so you can cut them out if needed. I really like that 3W did it that way instead of cutting them out. Let me decide if I need that feature or not. Well done.

All in all, I think the 3W mats have the best value out of the 3 different brands of mats I have as far as cost and what you get. You can get the 3W front, rear and cargo mats for less than just the front and rear Tux mats. Throw in the 3W seat-back covers and its not much more. The 3W mats look great in the truck and do their job very well. I do not see them wearing out for years and would probably outlast the Bronco. There are so many brands out there you never know what you will get. As I mentioned at the start, I did not buy these but I will honestly say that if I did buy them I would have been very happy in what I got for the money.
