Fixing Over Spun Yarn?

Can you fix over spun yarn by wet setting and weighting the yarn? I made four, one oz samples of yarn. One was balanced, but the other three were over spun. Will hanging over spun yarn with a weight correct the excess twist? What happens when over spun yarn is set, dried and then gets wet again? Will the twist return? Let's find out!
