Welcome to the De Havilland Aircraft Museum, where history comes to life. In this video, we showcase a genuine Rolls-Royce Merlin Mark 25 aircraft engine—the restored starboard engine from De Havilland Mosquito HJ719, a WWII-era night fighter.

Built in 1943, Mosquito HJ719 flew with 418 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force and participated in night intruder missions, V1 flying bomb interceptions under Operation Diver, and combat missions over Europe. This engine was hit by shrapnel, caught fire, and later recovered in 1995 after being buried for decades. Now, fully restored, it runs again right here at the museum.
