This is the story of Squirrel, a stray cat who started visiting us for food during our harsh Canadian winter, where temperatures drop to -40°C.

We noticed his ears were covered in bugs and he had a serious injury near his eye. He was in rough shape — but we couldn’t turn our back on him. So, we built a heated outdoor shelter to help him survive the freezing cold.

Eventually, we took him to the vet, where he was treated for infections and his eye injury. The incredible team at SOS Prairie Rescue, a charitable organization, generously covered the cost of his treatment. 💛
