This Video and song honours the memory of the late and beautiful Gillian Mott. Her legacy as musician and human being will forever last.
She was talented and she had an amazing soul. She made so many people happy with her kindness and always willing to help others... and her eyes..I could see the glory in her eyes.
When I Wrote this song I was getting through a long period of emotional instability so I can certainly say that writing this song was a turning point, where I could see that finally I was leaving all the dark behind.
I knew Gill for a few months before writing the song and I remember telling her that I was working in new songs and that I was very excited about this..She asked me to send her something where she could play her Violin.. I knew she was an amazing musician.. so I thought this song could perfectly suit her.. she came back few days later and the result when I listened to her parts made my jaw dropped..The song didn't need anything else.. the song was perfect to me and she captured the raw emotion beautifully.
few weeks later I told her I was going to do a gig in Madrid and instantly she told me that she wanted to come and play with me... I was very excited about the idea..
The day of the Gig I spent a lot of time with her.. I will always remember how supportive she was.
We had so much fun and it is memory that lingers on.
I feel glad that we had this performance recorded and I am very happy to share this Video to honor her.
