On 30 August the opening ceremony for Exercise Quick Response 2020 was held at Camp Butmir, Sarajevo. Quick Response is the annual test of EUFOR’s capability to quickly reinforce its troops in BiH if required. This year troops from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, the United Kingdom and KFOR were selected to join and integrate with the soldiers from EUFOR’s permanent Multinational Battalion. A series of un-alerted scenarios will examine their response. To mitigate COVID risks every soldier entering the country has followed strict quarantine and testing regulations in accordance with International, BiH and EUFOR rules.

Quick Response 2020 will take place all over the country from 30 August to 5 September in close cooperation with local authorities, law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces of BiH, demonstrating the EU’s resolve and commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
