Shortly after a romantic engagement on their one year anniversary, Kylie and Rich started planning the rustic outdoor wedding of their dreams. The couple’s first step was bringing on wedding planner Jeanette Tavares of Evoke Design & Creative to help craft their forest wedding vision. Kylie and Rich wanted their nuptials to be close and convenient for their guests traveling from Washington D.C, Maryland, and Virginia, so they focused their search on Northern Virginia wedding venues. An avid horseback rider since she was young, bride Kylie always envisioned herself saying, “I do” at a horse farm, which made The Lodge at Moss Neck the perfect choice. The pair fell in love with the Fredericksburg, VA wedding venue’s rural setting and luxurious feel. Plus, it meant that Kylie could go horseback riding on the morning of her wedding. When the October wedding date finally rolled around, guests were greeted by lush jewel toned flowers, rustic wedding decorations, and a chic woodsy setting. Kylie walked down the aisle in a gorgeous satin slip wedding dress, her bridal party complementing her in pastel mismatched bridesmaid dresses. The celebration continued at an outdoor tent wedding reception with a seated dinner service and custom cocktails. From the venue’s cozy ambiance to the stunning rustic wedding theme, this elevated farm wedding truly had it all.
