Agastache flowers have a scent reminiscent of citrus and licorice, and its leaves emit a minty aroma when crushed.
Agastache performs best in coarse, welldrained soil. If you have heavy clay soil, amend it to improve its texture or consider planting in containers instead.
Agastache is excellent for planting in sunny beds, borders and butterfly gardens. If you choose to plant in a container, select one with drainage holes so water can flow freely through the soil and drain out of the bottom of the pot.
