This is a video of preparing delicious Calicut Chemmeen Ada/ Meen Ada. An authentic recipe of Calicut community and very popular among all the beloved other communities.
Meen Ada is very favorite among kids and elder ones.

You may use any kind of Fish, which is most favorite for you.

Normally, most of people make Meen Ada with King Fish, Black Promfet, Butter Fish, Mackerel etc.

INGREDIENTS

For Marinating The Fish

Prawn(Shrimp) - 1 Cup
Chili Powder - 1.1/2 tsp
Fennel Seed Powder- 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - As needed

INGREDIENTS FOR BATTER

Biriyani Rice (Kaima Rice) - 2 CUP
Cooked Rice (Parboiled Rice) - 2 CUP
Water - 1 & 1/2 CUP
Coconut - 3/4 CUP
Salt - As needed

INGREDIENTS FOR ROASTING COCONUT

Coconut - 1 CUP
Shallots - 10 nos
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Fennel Seed - 1/2 tsp

INGREDIENTS FOR MASALA

Ginger - 1/2 inch pcs
Garlic - 5 nos
Green Chili - 4 nos
Curry Leafs/Coriander Leaf - As needed
Onion Big - 4 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Fennel Seed powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala (Home made) - 1/4 tsp -
Tomato - 3 nos
