BIG fish on small baits: the Uncle Larry Outdoors crew got on a true Florida backwater grand slam bite, landing large snook, redfish black drum and tarpon on small swimbaits. The key to the bite was effectively matching bait presentation as these predators all were chasing small bait balls along the grasslines with the winter water levels remaining low. Without effective mangrove cover, bait was forced to try and hide along the edges of grass points and we got DIALED. Once we figured out the effective combination of the 3 inch lil’ spanky lathered in some BaitFuel scent to make our lures stand out from the remainder of the bait ball it was all over.
