Visiting Ukraine 2023 During the War: What You Need to Know

Welcome to my video where I provide tips for foreigners who are planning their visit to Ukraine. It's important to note that there are no completely safe areas in Ukraine due to the ongoing war. Just yesterday, a Russian missile killed 25 people, including 5 children, in Uman, Cherkasy region. Cherkasy was considered one of the safest regions in Ukraine.
Once popular destinations like Odesa and the Chernobyl zone are currently closed to visitors. All beaches in Odesa are mined, and the Chernobyl zone is banned after the Russian occupation. However, foreigners are now eager to visit Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel - the places where Russian soldiers committed war crimes against civilians.
While prices have risen, Ukraine is still an affordable destination for foreigners. Plus, there will be no speech barrier as most Ukrainians speak English. Ukrainians are waiting for their victory over the occupiers, and we welcome visitors to experience the beauty and resilience of our country.
