This mod gives equipped items their own dedicated inventory slots and three more hotkeyable quick slots. You can use the item slots for equipping armor and the utility belt. Three hotkeyable slots can be used to store anything really but I'm sure it's meant to be used for consumables. Food and potions mainly. So you could access them very fast via the hotkeys shown here of course.
This comes really handy in the middle of the boss fights for example.

It's also very nice to have three extra tools on your hotbar when you stored the consumables there before like I previously did. It would be even more enjoyable if there were dedicated slots for arrows and boss artifacts aswell.

This saves you quite a bit of inventory space indeed. 8 slots in total to be exact. This is a whole row of items when you would use the regular inventory.

I definitely recommend this mod because it neatly solves one of the problems in the vanilla game which is the small size of the inventory which causes constant sorting of items while trying to fit everything you really need.
