HITL Webinar Series - Episode 6 - Social Impact Report 2023

On June 25th, 2024, we hosted an insightful webinar to discuss the Social Impact Report 2023 by the Humans in the Loop Foundation. We were joined by inspiring speakers including Magi, Rossy, Ghazaleh, Iuliia, and Khaled Shabaan from ROIA. Here are some key takeaways from the event:
Key Insights

1. Creating the Impact Report: Magi provided insight into how the Impact Report was created, detailing how HITL gathers and analyzes data to ensure the reliability and accuracy of our findings.
2. Training Programs: Rossy highlighted the success of our instructor-led training programs, including feedback and a personal story from one of our successful students. This is represented by impressive statistics:
83% of HITL Stars course participants were women.
96% of all feedback respondents would recommend the program to friends or family.
In 2023, we hosted three HITL Stars English programs:
The first, from January to March, funded by EBRD, included three levels of English and two levels of IT training, with 111 participants and 62 successful graduates.
The second edition, from April to July, had three levels of English, with 105 participants and 63 successful graduates.
The third edition, from September to November, included Beginner and Pre-Intermediate levels of English, with 61 participants and 30 successful graduates.
Throughout all HITL Stars courses in 2023, 86.1% of participants were from Ukraine, 3.6% from Lebanon, 5.6% from Syria, 1.4% from Iran, 1% from Yemen, and 1.8% from Afghanistan.
The average total satisfaction rate of all HITL Stars 2023 programs was 4.4 out of 5.

3. Pilot Programs in Moldova and Kenya: Ghazaleh shared the results from 2023, showcasing significant milestones achieved by our pilot programs in Moldova and Kenya. These programs engaged a total of 90 people affected by conflict and boasted an impressive average satisfaction rate of 4 out of 5, with 94% of feedback respondents recommending HITL training to friends or family members. The tremendous positive impact on local communities underscores the importance of these initiatives, and the feedback received is crucial for refining and expanding our programs.
4. Career Counseling: Iuliia shared the impact of our career counseling services in 2023, offering one-to-one sessions with our Social Mediator for Ukrainian beneficiaries. These sessions aimed to help participants list their skills and background, define their career interests and goals, analyze their skills gaps, find relevant courses, prepare LinkedIn profiles, improve interview skills in English, and apply for jobs on LinkedIn. We had a total of 44 participants from Ukraine, 86.3% of whom were women. The average satisfaction rate of the program was 4.4 out of 5. Additionally, 66.6% of feedback respondents found the career counseling training useful and reported learning new things.
5. Partnership with ROIA: Khaled Shabaan from ROIA discussed how our partnership is making a difference in local communities and shared exciting plans for future collaboration.
