In a significant development being reported from the national capital, the Enforcement Directorate has attached the assets of P Chidambaram's wife Nalini Chidambaram. This is connection to the Saradha Money laundering case in which the step has been taken by the Central agency. In the Saradha money laundering case, the ED announced on Friday that it had attached assets totaling more than Rs 6 crore from "beneficiaries" including Nalini Chidambaram, the wife of former Union finance minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram, former CPM MLA Debendranath Biswas, and a company owned by ex Assam minister Anjan Dutta.
