This is my 2nd Night Rating lesson in a PA28-180 Warrior at Gloucestershire Airport (EGBJ). After 1 full stop landing and 2 touch and goes with my instructor, I had to perform 5 take offs and 5 full stop landings. I was generally happy although 2 out of the 5 landings were quite hard, or should I say firm!? :) Extending Downwind over Cheltenham was a little daunting but I enjoyed the 1 left hand orbit. I still cannot believe I can do this after my flight phobia which meant it took me 8 years to get my pilots license. I hopefully will need just two more lesson with a bit of Nav to another airfield and then top it up to 5 hours in total before I can then be signed off by my instructor to legally fly at night.
