Honestly, I'm quite optimistic after the recent visit of three European leaders into Kyiv, which all of them stated they support the candidate status for Ukraine. So this brings me a lot of optimism. If this matter would not be that this kind of statement, I would be fighting for that as much as possible.

But we have to reflect that the Ukraine is in war. In war, in which Putin wages to build his imperium, and Ukraine doesn't want to be part of this Russian imperial. So this is a special situation and we have to reflect this. This is a political decision and of course it means that Ukraine will have to fulfil all criteria to become a full member.
