In the first quarter, Tesla produced just over 180,000 vehicles and delivered nearly 185,000 vehicles. The Model Y in China is well received. The company is quickly progressing to full production capacity. The new Model S and Model X have also been exceptionally well received, with the new equipment installed and tested in Q1. Tesla is in the early stages of ramping production.

A lot of auto companies like Ford, GM, Nio, Xpeng have been hit by semiconductor shortages. Some of these companies have halted their production lines. It is really impressive that Tesla had a record delivery quarter despite these supply chain issues. Tesla Semi deliveries will also begin in 2021.
