Plot Summary
Tahaan, an eight-year-old boy, sets out to reclaim his beloved pet donkey, Birbal, sold due to family debts. His journey across the mountainous region mirrors his internal search for hope and purpose. He meets various characters, including:
• Subhan Darr (Anupam Kher), who buys the donkey.
• Zafar (Rahul Bose), Subhan’s assistant.
• Idrees, a teenager who tempts Tahaan with a dangerous mission—carrying a grenade for a potential terrorist act.
Tahaan is moments away from committing the act but has a change of heart and throws the grenade into a river. Coincidentally, he sees his long-lost father emerge from the building he was supposed to target. Subhan, realizing Tahaan's love for Birbal, returns the donkey to him.
