Under the valve cover, you have camshafts and the valvetrain spinning and flinging oil everywhere. A valve cover has to have a gasket to stop some of that oil from leaking out the seam. When you do see oil around your valve cover, you know it’s time to replace the gasket. This video shows you how to install a new valve cover gasket in your 2005-10 Volkswagen Jetta.
