V board fiber cements provide three significant threats against the construction- termite ,water and fire. V board has IS 1486:2000 AND ASTM C 1186 approvals. V boards compete against the plywoods and gypsum that are used for construction. It is mainly used for interiors and semi-exposed applications. It is available in the different dimensions that are apt for the constructions.

A fiber cement board is a combination of cement as a binder and cellulose fibers as reinforcement. These boards are made of a homogeneous mixture and hence are formed as a single layer for any thickness. Cement fiber boards of 4ft x 8ft and 4ft x 6ft boards are available with thickness varying between 4mm to 25 mm. The technology that is used for this is HPSC(high pressurized steam curing).
