First use of my SOTO SOD-250 lantern.

Unlike almost every other gas lantern, the Soto has a platinum mantle, and no glass globe. This makes it well suited to hiking trips, as there is no risk of the mantle disintegrating.

The lantern is little more complicated to use as it has two controls - the usual gas flow, at the front, and a gas mixture control, at the rear.
It takes a bit of trial and error to get the highest output from the mantle.
