3 Easy to Learn Gimbal Moves that will get you hired by getting the right cinematic movement in your shots. We have three shots here, so pay close attention. All of these in the video was shot using the DJI Ronin-S
1️⃣ The Orbit
Do a spin around your subject on a long lens, creating a parallax effect in the background. Use the thumbstick or sport mode on your gimbal to ensure you stay in line with your subject and keep them center-frame.
2️⃣ Tracking Crane
Push the tilt lock button and Start low in underslung mode on your gimbal on a moving subject near their feet and rise up to their head like a jib arm on a dolly track. It creates speed, movement and depth all in one image.
3️⃣ 360 Spin Out
Start close to a foreground object on a wide lens, preferably one with a fast aperture as to blur the background, spin-out using the roll function on your gimbal from the subject passing foreground and reveal a wide-open area like a set or landscape. It can also be used to push in on a subject in reverse. This can only be done on certain more modern gimbals like the Ronin-S, Ronin-SC, Moza Air 2 or Zyhin Crane Lab 3.
