Описание к видео Cute eyelashes of hornbill baby! Adult and juvenile feeds under tree canopy

At 1:55, see the eye lashes the hornbill baby!

Local names for the hornbill include Lamdhor, Dhanesh and Chalotra.

Grey Hornbill or Ocyceros (earlier Buceros bicornis?) birostris - Adult and juvenile feeding under hot temperatures under the Delhi Sun, with its large beak wide open, a juvenile Grey Hornbill waits for its parent for food. Nearly the size of an adult but lacking in survival skills. The parent is seen a little farther away on a fruit tree. Notice the casque on top of the upper beak and the sound of its flapping of its wings as it takes flight. The parent drops by on the branch of the juvenile birds and feeds it.

These birds are common in urban parks and in areas with tall fruiting trees and mature trunks in which they can nest within cavities. They are mostly grey and blackish in colour, females and juveniles lacking the casque on top of their beaks.

Lamdhor, Dhanesh, Grey Hornbill or Ocyceros birostris
