Lockefield Gardens was the first public housing complex in Indianapolis, and some believe it was the best one built to this day. The complex along Indiana Avenue created lasting friendships, and it also created bitterness from some white people toward the Black Hoosiers who largely comprised Lockefield's population. There is so much more to this story I hope to tell down the road. I could not have done this without the marvelous Wildstyle Paschall.
