Capgemini Engineering (ex. Altran) and Millor Battery collaborate together on REMOTIS, an autonomous 3-wheeler vehicle, powered by 3x in-wheels and controlled by a cloud-based ECU.
Since the evolution of vehicle intelligence functions requires constantly higher computing capacity hardware and high data rate internal networks – Capgemini Engineering took the challenge and delivered. The REMOTIS uses 5G connectivity and mobile edge computing technologies, opening opportunities to enhance vehicle performance with real-time online services. In this regard, the vehicle manages all the sensors sending real-time data directly to the edge (5G connectivity), where data is processed. The control decision is sent back to the vehicle, where actuators are controlled, with the lowest possible delay.
