Function

Filtrate Collection: They collect dripping filtrate during the feed cycle to prevent it from reaching conveyors or cake dumpsters, and capture filtrate residue when the filter closing pressure is initially released before cake discharge.

Cleaning Support: They allow high-pressure wand cleaning of the cloth and/or plate, discharging the cleaning liquor to a launder. They also retain wash water from the automatic cloth washing equipment to keep the filter cake dry.

Cake Discharge Assistance: When in the open position, they act as a chute for filter cake discharge.

Structure and Material

Structure: They are usually horizontally mounted under the filter plates. The "bomb bay door" style can be designed to open automatically with the filter press, and is equipped with a manual override for cleaning.


Types

Swivel Drip Tray: It consists of two drip tray supports that perform an automatic ramp-up movement when the filter press is emptied. After the emptying process, it closes again and directs dripping water into the filtrate channel.

Automatic Filter Press Drip Tray: It can be opened and closed by hydraulic cylinders controlled manually or automatically through a PLC. It ensures the drip trays are in the open position for cake discharge and in the closed position during filtration.
