Podlaskie county is a remote area of eastern Europe known as the "Green Lungs of Poland" and is a beautiful unspoilt region of Poland that borders with Lithuania, the landscape is dominated by impressive and magical natural pine tree forests.

The forests are full of flora and fauna, wild mushrooms, fruits and berries much of which is dried and or preserved and harvested annually by local polish families as essential homemade food supplies for the cold and often harsh long winters ahead.
