We started the day at Lapis Spa at Fontainebleau, which we highly recommend! Phones were strictly prohibited even in the lounge areas, and I saw several ladies getting reprimanded for even reading stuff on their phones, so I wasn't able to get any video inside. However, I can certainly tell you that his spa is WORTH IT! Mr. E and I both booked Odyssey massages for $264 each, and were pleasantly surprised to learn that this price included gratuity.
When you book a treatment, you also have access to all of the amenities in the spa, including separate lounges, each with a stargazing lounge--so relaxing. Also, much of the spa is coed, which was really nice for Mr. E and me. We spent the first two hours in the very large coed section of the spa, which featured so many different different areas and treatments: Vitality Pools, Steam Room, Infrared Sauna, Himalayan Salt Room, Star & Snow Showers, Salt Mist Therapy, Oxygen Therapy, Heated Tepidarium Chairs, Inverted Relaxation Chairs, and Cold-Plunge Pools. We absolutely LOVED the Event Sauna Experience with Aufguss, "a treasured Nordic spa tradition where heat, music, and communal connection converge." What an experience and performance--Mr. E loved the cold plunge part of it, and I preferred sweating it out in the sauna. I do not like to be cold!
Following our time together in the coed spa, we split up for our massages. Mine with Lex was wonderful, and Mr. E enjoyed his as well. All in all our time at Lapis Spa was a very worthwhile experience. We spent about 4 hours enjoying all that the spa had to offer and were thrilled to have so much value for $264 each. As we made our way over to Encore later in the day, we talked about it a bit so you can hear what we had to say.
At Encore we had some initial success on slots (you can see a few of these wins as Shorts posted to our channel) and video poker, and then we enjoyed some excellent cocktails at the Lobby Bar. We always enjoy such great service and drinks at this location, and we especially love that they have bar snacks here--a must when you're enjoying premium cocktails.
From there we headed over to Wynn and hopped around on video poker and slots, and unfortunately did not have very much to show for our time there. We love the hotel rooms and the atmosphere at Wynn and Encore, but we very rarely win big there. So, we decided to head over to Resorts World, where things immediately turned around for me at Crystal Bar! This is one of my absolute favorite places to be in Vegas. I so enjoy playing video poker, keno, and slots at the bartop, and the bartenders are super attentive. You can ask for a cocktail menu and get any of the specialty drinks comped as long as you're playing and tipping. I LOVE IT! Mr. E hung out with me for awhile but he can only hang out at the bar for so long before he needs to try other things.
We came back together to play slots at Resorts World but by then it was after midnight and we were both so hungry. We went to NADC Burger, which is open 24 hours, and really enjoyed the 100% Wagyu burgers and fries there. It hit the spot to have a hunk of protein after basically only snacking on light spa fare and cashews here and there during the rest of the day!
After dinner I was so tired and tipsy, and I wanted to hang on to the money I had finally managed to win. However, Mr. E wanted to play one more game on the way out of Resorts World and use his free play. Stay tuned until the very end, because luckily Mr. E chose a Buffalo game that was ready to pay out, and he managed to win a $500 Minor and so much more on free play! And I know I sound bossy at the end, but let me tell you *I know this guy* and how quickly he can blow through his wins, which is not good on night two of six in Vegas! He held on to his $ and it was a great way to end the day!
