A newly orphaned calf meets the orphan herd

4-month-old Chikumbi was rescued after being found alone and crying for her mother near Chikumbi Village, where community memebers carefully restrained her and contacted Game Rangers International for support.

Her rescue would not have been possible without support from the community itself and a strong community engagement program. Which is why this calf has been named Chikumbi, after the community who cared for her so well.
