Описание к видео mRNA, tRNA and rRNA | Structure and Function | What are different types of RNA? | Biochemistry

This video provides a tutorial on the structure and function of different types of RNA such as mRNA, tRNA and rRNA. 1. mRNA is important to carry genetic information from DNA to ribosome, the site of protein synthesis. The structure of mRNA consists of a methyl cap (7-methylguanosine), 5’UTR, coding region, 3’UTR and a poly-A-tail. 2. tRNA acts as an adapter to carry amino acids to the ribosome during the process of protein synthesis in the cytosol. 3. rRNA is plays a very important catalytic role in forming the peptide bond and adding amino acids to the growing peptide chain for protein synthesis.

The following topics are covered in this lesson,

1. What is RNA and how is it different from DNA?
2. What are three different major types of RNA?
3. The structure of mRNA
