can not save the desktop icons position in windows 10? Desktop icons rearrange after restart? Please try this simple method and let's know if this trick works for you.
Open a Notepad file I Paste the following to it

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoSaveSettings"=hex(3):00,00,00,00

Now click on file on the top and click on save as I name it as desktop.reg and change the file type to All files. Now save and right click on the file. Select Merge and confirm your actions by clicking Yes. Restart your computer to apply the changes.
